Moab UMTRA Technical Assistance Contract

The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Office of Environmental Management in Grand Junction, Colorado, manages the Moab Uranium Mill Tailings Remedial Action (UMTRA) Project in Utah. S&K Aerospace supports DOE through a Technical Assistance Contract that provides a broad range of professional services. Our work, in partnership with Pro2Serve, contributes to the safe removal of residual radioactive materials from the Moab site to a U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission–approved disposal cell 30 miles north near Crescent Junction, Utah.

S&K Aerospace has the responsibility for total performance under the contract, including determining specific methods for accomplishing the work. Duties include:
